Classic Cheeseburger with Brava Secret Sauce
by Brava Chef Travis
If you’re craving an American classic, look no further. While many home cooks like to grill burgers, the classic burger is seared on a flat top (aka griddle) to crisp, caramelized perfection. Grilling burgers causes flare-ups from fat dripping on the flames, which give burgers a burnt, charred flavor. I prefer the griddle method because it gives you juicier burgers. This cheeseburger has a few noteworthy ingredients—a THIN beef patty, American cheese and “secret sauce”. Now you can make your favorite fast food burger in the comfort of your own home, where you can control the quality and integrity of the ingredients. If you prefer cheddar, Swiss or other types of cheese it’s fine to substitute! I like to use pickle juice in the secret sauce for a little extra zing, but feel free to use distilled vinegar if pickles aren’t your thing.
